Men's 1sts Promoted to Premiership!
ULU's Men's 1st team have been promoted to the BUCS Premiership after winning their promotion playoff against UCL by 135-80. The result caps an amazing season for the team, and with only 5 teams in the Premiership South and 5 in the Premiership North, we can now claim to have one of the top 10 student fencing teams in the country.
This is a quite remarkable journey given the team was only established 6 seasons ago; 6 seasons that have seen us win 3 league titles, the BUCS Trophy and now, finally, Premiership status at the expense of UCL. New captain Valerian Langton will have the task of leading the team out against Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol and Imperial next season. For now though, congratulations to this season's captain Darren Page and all his fencers: Jack Boteler, Marcus Mepstead, Graham Miles, Antoine Pequignot, Ahmed Rosowsky and Jake Rowley.
