Club Champs (5th June) & LIUF Competition (12/13th June)
 

Dear All,

Exams are over and fencing's end of year spectacular begins. Firstly we have the annual Club Championships, open to EVERY member of the club especially novices as there is a prize for best beginner. Then no fencing on the 8th June, instead there will be a social details to follow on this. And finally LIUF, a mixed competition held annually by UCL for all levels of fencer on the 12/13th June, we will be handing over OFFICIALLY to the new committee on this weekend and will be throwing a handover (and hopefully victory) party then as well. Club Championship – 5th June
Your chance to fence against all the other club members in as many weapons as you choose. Whatever your fencing experience we want you to come along and compete.
The best fencer over all three weapons will be crowned Club Champion and awarded The Izotov Cup, while there will also be prizes for: Individual Winners in each weapon, Best women's performance, Best Beginner's performance.

Entry Fees: £2 per weapon.
Foil check in: 10.00 - 10.30*, Epee check in: 12.00 -12.30*, Sabre check in: 13.30-14.00

YOU MUST ARRIVE BY THE CLOSE OF CHECK IN, OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO FENCE

*If you are fencing Foil or Epee please make sure you wear non-marking footwear as we will be using the conductive piste.

London International Universities Fencing Cup (LIUF) 12th/13th June
The big one! Our end of season competition for fencers of all levels. It’s a mixed individual competition hosted by UCL and always fenced with a fun and friendly atmosphere and a wide range of standards (lots of novice UCL fencers) meaning there is something for everyone.

We are keen to bring a really big team and have a laugh together as well as a great party after, I and both captains will personally be on hand to support any novice fencers who come and compete.

Saturday 12th - 9am Foil check-in
Sunday 13th - 9am Épée check-in & 10am Sabre check-in

Entry fee: £10

Looking further ahead, fencing will continue on Tuesdays throughout the summer.
